Ingredients of Quick Vegetable Fried Rice
- Prepare 1 cup of Basmati Rice.
- You need 1 of long carrot – Finely chopped.
- You need 1-2 stalks of celery – Finely chopped.
- You need 1-2 of spring onion (Scallions)- Finely chopped.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of green peas(fresh or frozen).
- It’s 2 tbsp of Soy sauce.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of sugar.
- You need 1/4 tsp of pepper powder.
- It’s 1 tsp of chopped garlic.
- It’s 2 tbsp of any kind of vegetable oil.
Quick Vegetable Fried Rice step by step
- Pour 2 cups of water in a pot .Bring it to boil ,then add 1 cup of basmati rice and chopped carrot pieces into it .You could also add green peas into it if it is not already cooked . I used frozen,so I didn't cook .Wait till rice and carrot becomes half cooked and add 1/4 tsp of salt . When everything is almost cooked turn off the heat and drain the water from it and keep it aside..
- In a pan pour 2 tbsp of refined oil .When it becomes hot ,add chopped garlic and saute a little bit .Add chopped veggies (celery , spring onion ,green peas) and saute it for another minute.
- Add pepper powder , soy sauce , little bit sugar(a pinch) and mix everything well ..
- Add the cooked rice, carrot mixture and mix well . Taste it and add salt if needed..
- You can also use other veggies like bell peppers here if you like..
- Serve hot with tomato sauce..
